There's nothing more frustrating for passionate sports fans than having to contend with inept commentators. You pick a sport broadcast in Australia and I can gurantee that you'll find it more enjoyable with the volume turned right down (it's still good to hear the crowd noises and sound effects). With the digital age you'd think they'd come up with a way to mute the comentary altogether. Anyway's we've just endured another summer of cricket where the same old losers are still behind the mike. Then the footy season starts, (the awsome Qld Reds opened their account in fine style against the Tards) and we have to listen to the pathetic Greg Martin spoil a wonderful come from behind win.

Better Price Please
Anybody else hanging out for a discount on the 2011 Reds jersey? I see the Wallabies WC one is reduced to $99. Time for the Reds one to be reduced too I think now that the new season's almost upon us. C'mon KooGa; love your gear - your prices... not so much.

What've We Been Watchin'?
This 2006 B grade Horror/Drama/Comedy kept us entertained throughout. Maybe we lost a bit in translation between Korean and English, because at times we weren't sure if we were watching a black comedy or a family drama within a monster movie backdrop. There were scenes/dialogue that made us laugh, others that were sad and others that made us feel the "typical" horror movie suspence, (you know when the protagonist is going to go into the dark spooky cellar to innocently check on the fuse box - except we in the audience know the zombie/axe-murderer/vampire is waiting down there for them type of suspence).
Anyway, the story revolves around a humble family that run a convenience trailer/shop on the banks of a river in Seoul. Their lives are turned upside down when one day a monster, (created from chemical waste - this parts a bit lame), emerges from the depths and starts attacking, eating and capturing people for later consumption. Unfortunately for the family, the youngest member is taken and presumed eaten until she makes an unexpected phone call from somewhere in the local sewer system. Despite the familys best efforts to convince the authorites to help, its ultimatley left up to them to take matters into their own hands to find and rescue her. Maybe catch The Host on World Movies and see what you think.

Taking it to Twitter
So it's probabably time to start posting more. Maybe I can "broaden the broadcast"? I was going to use this post as a test to see if it appears elsewhere. Then I thought I'd write something clever...............
I'm just going to use this as a test.
