Well there you have it. Absolute proof that the NRL Judiciary is either corrupt, incompetent, or both. Watch the video carefuly and it is not hard to pick out the Matei clearly went in knee first. His arms are in the air and his feet are tucked under him, at no stage did he ever attempt to make a legal tackle, not to mention he also hit Yow-Yeh late. Players in the past, including this season have been suspended for the same thing. I would also point out that if you watch Yow-Yeh's try in the 29th minute you will see Matei come in late with the same style of tackle, knee first and late.
For the Judiciary to come out and say that there warranted no action as he went in feet first and only collected with one knee and for the fact that the reaction of Yow-Yeh was more than the injury warranted is a farce.
Now if in the final Matei injures a player through similar actions or indeed any foul play the the player injured would have every right to take the NRL judiciary to court. The NRL is on track to be facing a very dangerous legal situation if they do not change the judiciary system.
